Millions of people fail in internet marketing because of these factors, they are not able to duplicate what they are doing and they chose a system that gives them little leverage.
The company you chose and the products you promote are very important and more importantly is the timing. Many of the sensational success you hear on the Internet are promotionals and it is not a constant thing, and lots of preparation and work with many joint venture partners are involved to make it happen, so in short it is usually a very tough act to follow!
Another factor is the unrealistic expectations and partly brought about by the sales hype and mispresentation of making tons of money online with little effort.
The most obvious factor is the lack of follow up and delivery of the promise to hold you by the hand and showing you step by step how to do it. You have a better chance with network marketing with leaders who keep to their promise and will guide you how to do the business the right way.
The follow up in internet marketing is very weak compared to network marketing, so it is very important for you to work with a company that will give you the follow up you are looking for.
The response rate is extremely low especially if you are selling to people who do not know you. It is very important you have an autoresponder and an opt in list to build your list and build the relationship. Many people find that they have to put in many hours on the Internet to make some money online and many are not willing to commit the time, money and effort to build their list. It may take as long as one to two years to build a good list.
Another factor that stop people from making money online is the health factor, they find that their eyes cannot take the long hours looking at the computer, it is tough on the baby boomers, people who are 35 to 55 years or older. It is very important to take good care of your eyes because it doesn't make sense if you make lots of money online at the expense of your eyesight! Eyes are so precious, do take breaks during your sessions online and take good supplements to strengthen your eyes.
Many so called "internet marketing gurus" cash in on the greed factor and promise people the moon but left them in the mud, their sole objectives is to keep on selling products after products and not really helping their customers to make some decent money online! They work on the basis that there is a sucker born every minute and it is hit and run month after month because that is the only way they know how to make money online!
In any business there are always black sheep and especially on the Internet, it is so easy for these black sheep to get away with it and the cashing in on the "greed factor" never fail them because that is human nature, millions of people are looking for that lazy man's way to riches with little effort where "you can own a money-making machine that is autopilot, 24/7 and you can make tons of money with little effort" sounds familiar?
It is truly mesmerizing and hypnotic when they use powerful copy that will push all the "greed buttons" and get people to buy!
Do your due diligence and get recommendation from friends who have truly benefited from the programs and do not fall for the hype and outright lies that is very common on the Internet.
The best way to make money online is to learn from someone who is honest and sincere and is willing to show you step by step how to do it out of friendship or for a reasonable fee.
Making money online is definitely possible but it does take commitment, time and effort to make it happen. It's very important to protect your database with security and a back up plan in the event your computer crashes or is attacked by viruses.
Don't expect too much if you have a list of 1,000 email addresses, unless they know you well, you cannot expect too much result, a less than 0.1% response is very common for newbies. You have a better chance if your have 10,000 email addresses or you have joint venture partners with a big list to help you promote your products.
It usually takes two to three years to learn the skill to make serious money online. I hope what I have shared with you here will give you better clarity and direction.
