Why You Will Not Believe What I Learned At World Internet Summit 2007! |
Many people will not believe what I learned at the world internet summit 2007, why? Because many speakers revealed the same formula to success, it was so obvious but many people didn't see it or couldn't believe it even though it was happening right before their eyes!
It is the marketing funnel concept, so simple and it works. Here's an example. You visit a website and there is usually a free report, ebook or something that is free for you to opt-in. That is step number one. Build your email list.
Step number two, you can sell an ebook or information product for $9.95 to $47 and offer lots of bonuses to create an irresistible offer so that the buyer will feel stupid for not ordering, so much value for such a low price!
Only two steps! The secret lies in capturing email addresses and building RELATIONSHIP with your email list. And the marketing SECRET lies in the backend sales where you upsell by offering other related product and it lead to a two to three days seminar for $2,000 to $5,000 and special mentoring and personal coaching for $5,000 onwards.
Almost every speaker was doing it! They started with an ebook, and expanded it into audio, teleconferences, interviews, CD, VCD and followed by seminars and mentoring or coaching programs. It is very obvious they are making as much if not more money at teaching what they know! And while they are teaching, they are building their list and creating a loyal group of students who will be their best customers and promoters!
I even met a newbie at the seminar that has made some money online and got unto the bandwagon of teaching people how to make money online! It is all possible, if you can make some money online and you are willing to teach people to do the same and you are sincere about doing it, why not? That's what people want, to earn some decent income on the Internet not the outrageous amounts that are shown on the stage! Of course the outrageous amount is always a great way to get attention and works everytime to push the "greed" button and trigger the thought "I want that too!"
I hope the speakers really deliver what they promised. Because words have got around and good news travel fast but bad news travel faster of students who attended similar seminars and were promised the moon but were left in the mud, having said that, the keys to success in any program is the follow up and support that is promised and the participants doing what they were told to do, it takes two to tango!
There are two factors that is critical to success. The YOU factor and the mentor you chose to work with, is he going to deliver to you what he promised to you and are you going to follow his instruction? The bottom line is results! Out of 100 people, how many can he really help to make a decent part-time income on the Internet. For example, if the result is a miserable 1% then it is kind of a joke! If applying the 80/20 rule, a good result would be a 20% success rate. Where out of 100 people, he can help at least 20 earn a decent part-time income. So what happened to the 80%?
Let's face reality in life. There are many people who say they will do but are not willing to put in the time and commitment even after they have invested in the program? Why? There are many factors, one of the key factors could be poor follow up system and attitude. To be successful in any program, you must have a good follow up and support system and you must have the right attitude, be teachable and willing to follow instructions.
The universal laws will never let you down, what you sow, you shall reap and it applies to you as well as the speakers who are promoting their programs. If the speakers deliver what they promised, their programs will be successful and their students will bring them more business. If the speakers do not deliver what promise, they will suffer the consequences of poor business and lack of credibility. You don't want to promise people the moon and leave them in the mud!
That is why Buckminster Fuller said: "Integrity is the essence of everything."
My advice to newbies is to take baby steps first, don't try to go to advanced stuff when you haven't master the basics and do your due diligence to choose the mentor that suits you and have a good track record of delivering what he promised!
If five persons tell you that is a horse, get on and ride it! There are no secrets, ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened! The secret to success has been taught by sages for centuries and it is found in many religious teachings!
It is about doing the right things and being true to yourself and others in your business dealings. Here's my formula for success that I wholeheartedly believe will guarantee your success in any business you do! Integrity, Great Value, Great Quality, Great Service and Great Relationship! Use that as your benchmark when you are deciding on the mentors you want to work with, do you see these important factors in them?
I am happy that Stephen Pierce headed a charitable project to feed one million children and I fully support such projects that make a positive difference to so many lives! I hope the speakers will continue in their own ways to make this world a better place and will join me in the fight against child prostitution which is the most evil, brutal and shameful crime on earth!
While you are making money online spare a thought for the pain of these children, emotionally and physically battered by the abuse of men and women gone mad! You can contribute simply by making people more aware of the plight of these innocent children and there are many charitable organisations on the Internet where you can give your donations, just key in the keywords "Child Prostitution" at Google and you can do your part to help these children too.
